Y10 - 13 Induction Week

An orientation programme has been developed for all students during the first week of school.  This is designed to provide a welcoming and positive start to the new school year, to provide time for students to reflect and set goals for 2023 and to inform them about some of the key areas and opportunities at school.   Below are the details for this programme.  

MEET THE DEANS EVENING - (To be confirmed)

As part of orientation week, we would like to invite whānau in to meet with the year-level Deans.  Families will have an opportunity to hear key information pertaining to their child’s year level and to ask any questions that they may have in relation to school life.  These events will take place on Thursday 2nd February from 5:30-6:30 at various locations around the school and will be followed with some kai for all to enjoy.  A reminder about this event, with information about the locations, will be sent to families in the new year.

BYOD:

We would appreciate all students bringing their devices in to school from the first day to enable them to register these for the school wifi system and to begin using devices in Kaitiaki and subject classes.

KEY DATES FOR TERM ONE:

• Monday 6th February: Waitangi Day holiday
• Tuesday 7^th February: First day of school for Years 10-13 students
• Thursday 23^rd February: School athletics day
• Wednesday-Saturday 8-11^th March: Polyfest
• Tuesday 14^th March and Thursday 16^th: Three-way conversations
• Thursday 6^th April: End of term 1
