Welcome to Term 2 ! Never have we started a term in more unusual circumstances. It is new for all of us and together we will learn and we will thrive!
I hope that you really enjoyed the fantastic weather that we had in the holidays and you are now ready to begin your learning. The most important thing to remember at this time, is that we are all in this together; you are not alone. Remember that almost every student in the world at this time has their learning interrupted. You do not need to stress about how this is going to impact you in the future, because it won’t. We have much to be thankful for. We live in a country where our government has acted quickly to contain the virus and if all of us do our part and follow the rules by keeping in our bubble we will avoid the horrific outcomes we are seeing in less fortunate countries.
Spending so long in lockdown can be difficult. I would remind you to be kind and patient. If you are feeling stressed and need to talk, remember that both the guidance team and nurses are available to you. Please contact counsellors by emailing: Sue Walsh - firstname.lastname@example.org, Mary O’Malley - email@example.com, Claire Brown - firstname.lastname@example.org
Everyday, we would like you to log on to your Google Classroom pages for each of the subjects that you would normally have on that day. Your teacher will have set work for you and provided feedback to you. You may also have notifications of meetings here or via your school email.
You should also check your school email every day. Set aside time each day to complete work and remember your teachers are still there to help you, all you need to do is ask.
As we have said, the most important thing is you. Put your health and your family first and please email the school should you have any concerns at all- email@example.com
