The Premier Girls’ and Boys’ Volleyball teams competed at the Auckland Championships last week at the Bruce Pulman Arena in Takanini.

This is a significant tournament involving 38 girls’ teams and 40 boys’ teams from Orewa in the North to Waiuku in the south .

Congratulations to both teams who played extremely well and demonstrated the loyalty and courage we expect from our teams. The girls’ playing in Division 2 won! What a wonderful achievement. Congratulations ! The girls who had some hard fought games never lost focus and their skill and team spirit meant they were unstoppable. 

The boys’ who had qualified in Division1 played with the same determination and spirit that had them reach Division 1 status. They completed the tournament in a respectable 7th place, having contested some very close fought games.

Congratulations to all players and to Mr Bryce Griffiths whose dedication to Volleyball is instrumental to the success of the teams.
