Wonderful things are happening at the OHS Library. If you haven’t explored our new online Library site you really must, even if you think this is not for you, you will be surprised. Bookmark this site to access our library.

 From here if you have an email address, in less than 3 minutes you can join the Auckland City Libraries.

You can also go on to the ‘Epic’ Platform, to research any topic, simply type in keywords to access information.

Ms Dwane, our Teacher Librarian, has spent many hours organising this fantastic resource with over 2000 books on the eLibrary platform, (click on this from the OHS Library homepage), there really is something for everyone. You no longer have to go to the library to find books that you would like to read. You can search thousands of books online and read a brief summary of those you think may be interesting, before you commit to them. You can then download the book and read on your device if you would like to, or perhaps if you don’t feel like reading yourself you could download one of the many audio books, then relax while the book is read to you!

When you are logged in to our eLibrary site you can use the arrow located in the blue band at the top of the page named ‘OHS Library Search’ to access ‘Our Stories Board’, where  you will find all manner of interesting things to read, listen to and learn; Comics and Manga, Films, Poets Corner, Short Stories, Live Dolphin Tracker and so much more. You can visit the ‘AirPano’ site and go on a virtual tour of Machu Picchu, or many other places from all over the world. You need never be bored again. Our Stories Board will be updated each month and Ms Dwane welcomes your suggestions, you can email her from the home page. If you make a copy of the Stories Board you can populate it with things that interest you particularly and add and delete posts during the year.  If you would like help navigating the site Ms Dwane is also very happy to help you in the library.
