Sports Awards Evening 2023

The annual Sports Awards prize giving was held at school last week with over 300 guests in attendance.

This was an amazing night where we celebrated the successes of our teams and individuals across all our codes and took the opportunity to thank the community volunteers and staff for the considerable time and effort they put into coaching our students, developing their skills so they can reach their goals and create some great memories along the way.

A highlight of the evening for many was hearing from guest speaker, former All Black Patrick Tuipolotu, who had great advice for students. Patrick was first selected for the All Blacks in 2014 and won 4 international caps for New Zealand. He took the opportunity to play in Japan for the 2022 season and returned to Captain the Blues and play as a Lock for the 2023 season.

Two staff members were awarded Service to Sports Awards, congratulations, Mr Steve Frear for his 20 years of service to Rugby and Mr Bryce Griffiths for his10 years of service to Volleyball in the school.
