For many years Onehunga High School Building and Construction students’ have built a house on the school grounds, which is subsequently sold. This year's  house, like the last, will be bought by Kāinga Ora.

The fourteen students involved with the build this year are all very motivated and working hard, eager to learn everything that they can, subsequently the build is ahead of schedule! They were excited that our Principal Ms Shameen Hayat visited the site this week to meet them and check on progress.

All of the students have identified their goals for the year and hope to find apprenticeships in the trades next year. The skills that they learn are invaluable and give them solid foundations for a bright future in the construction and allied trades.
