Senior School 2020

The first whole Senior School assembly was held this week where the 2020 Prefect team were introduced to the school and the first of many students were recognised, for their achievements already this year.

Principal Ms Shea, took the opportunity to thank all students who were in one of the many leadership roles available at school, who had been guiding others as they begin their journey toward success in 2020.

 Maya Edmunds, Head Girl and Sione Tu’ifua, Head Boy addressed the assembly before introducing this year's prefect team. Each prefect is aligned to one of the five student councils.

Bryan Afu (Community)                               Charles Amores ( Hauora)

Christine Anesone ( Community)                Blake Costley ( Sport)

Holly Hu (Arts)                                             Morticia Levi ( Sport)

Laura Mackness (Sports)                            Paw Moo (Academic)

Leo Nansen (Hauora)                                  Reuben Smith (Arts)

Zara Tafili-Tamepo (Cultural)                       Nico Tuave (Cultural)

Ms Shea discussed the strategic plan or principles which we will all follow. Perhaps the most important thing is to have high expectations of ourselves. We believe that every person is capable of success. Have belief in your own abilities, know that you can achieve and everyone at school is here to support you on your journey.

Students were reminded by Deputy Principal Mr Saunders, that they need to aim for;

  • 14 credits  (at least) in each subject
  • Success in your first internal of the year, in each subject
  • 50 merit/excellence credits of your total (for endorsement)
