As part of Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori a group of students from Royal Oak Intermediate were invited to school to share in some learning and performing.
The manuhiri were welcomed onto Te Haerenga marae by OHS students from a number of different Te Reo classes as well as the Māori Performing Arts class. After sharing mihi and pepeha all students broke off to take part in workshops looking at our school marae, performing waiata and haka and participating in traditional Māori games. It was great to see a number of siblings of past and present students being introduced to the school and connecting with our current students. Ka mau te wehi!
