The Media Department hosted its annual OHScars awards on Thursday evening. The event showcased the very best creative work from Level 1 music videos, Level 2 horror film trailers and Level 3 short documentaries.
A huge congratulations to the 2020 OHScars winners:
Best Editing – “Hold” music video by Dwane Devoe-Matautia (11RD) and Alister Faid (11CW)
Best Supporting Character – Jeremy Moran (13WN) in “Alien-ation” mockumentary
Best Costume – Ngatz Rawiri (12TN) in “Kehua” trailer
Best Interview – “Zen” documentary by Sophie-Lee Bosson (13DO) and Millie Rogers (13DO)
Scariest Scene – “Obsession” trailer by Josh Sutton (12TU) and Phoenix Gardiner (12PL)
Best Cinematography – “Alien-ation” documentary by Logan D’Souza (13DO) and Reuben Smith (13DO)
Best Actress – Sharni Dreadon-Bell (12PL) in “The Doctor” trailer
Best Actor – Ivan Merkulov (13FA) in “Monke Man” mockumentary
The awards night was ended with the prestigious ‘People’s Choice’ award, given to the fan favourite from the night. Audience members voted for their favourite from across all three year levels. This year, the winner of the People’s Choice OHScar was the “Obsession” trailer by Josh Sutton (12TU) and Phoenix Gardiner (12PL)
