It was a great pleasure to recognise the achievements of a large group of senior students at the OHS Scholarship assembly this week.

All of the students recognised had achieved a grade point average of at least 95% in Level 1, 2 or 3 in 2021 which represents a tremendous effort, in what was another difficult COVID interrupted year.

It was wonderful to welcome our 2021 Level 3 Scholarship winners. We are very grateful they were able to come back to OHS to attend the ceremony so that we could celebrate their outstanding achievements with them. Congratulations to the Level 3 OHS Scholarship winners:

Pakeeza Ali

In 2021 Pakeeza achieved NCEA Level 3 with Excellence. Last year, Pakeeza achieved Excellence endorsement in Level 3 Biology, Business and English. 

Paige Campbell

Last year, Paige achieved NCEA Level 3 with Excellence. Paige was endorsed with Excellence in all five of her Level 3 subjects, those being; Art Design, Biology, English, Geography and Scholarship Chemistry.

Hannah Clague

In 2021 Hannah achieved NCEA Level 3 with Excellence. Last year, Hannah achieved Excellence endorsement in Level 3 Biology, Geography Scholarship Chemistry.

Olano Khadija

Last year Olano achieved NCEA Level 3 with Excellence. Olano was also endorsed with Excellence in Level 3 Business. 

 Vanessa Ly

In 2021, Vanessa achieved NCEA Level 3 with Excellence. Vanessa was endorsed with Excellence in all five of her Level 3 subjects, those being; Accounting, Biology, Chinese, Dance and Mathematics with Calculus. 

Nisha Murugan

Last year, Nisha achieved NCEA Level 3 with Excellence. Nisha achieved Excellence endorsement in Level 3 Business, History, Painting and Social Studies. 

 The most prestigious awards are the Top Scholar  awards. All of these students achieved a grade point average of 100%!

The most prestigious of all academic awards is the Dux Litterarum, this year this was jointly awarded to Paige Campbell and Vanessa  Ly

Paige Campbell

As well as achieving NCEA level 3 with Excellence, Paige achieved NCEA Level 1 and Level 2 with Excellence. Paige was endorsed with Excellence in every Level 3 subject she studied last year. 

Vanessa Ly

Vanessa achieved all levels of NCEA with Excellence and also gained endorsement with Excellence in every Level 3 subject she studied last year.

We would like to extend our congratulations to Paige and Vanessa for their inspirational achievements.

 Thank you Sophie Roberts and Jasmine Son for performing a dance entitled ‘Unraveling’ and to Litania Langi who performed Whitney Houston’s, ‘I Want to Dance With Somebody’ accompanied on piano by Peter Muller.
