Five OHS Level 3 Service Academy students have just returned from a five day residential Basic Leadership Course, held at the RNZAF base in Whenuapai.

This course aimed to nurture leadership skills, instill discipline, and promote teamwork among the participants. Students were exposed to a wide range of activities designed to enhance their leadership potential. From physical challenges to team-building exercises, the participants gained valuable insights into effective communication, problem-solving and decision-making. They were taught the importance of integrity, discipline, and resilience—qualities that are vital for leadership in any field.

Early starts, maintaining clean and tidy barracks, presenting in perfect uniform, drills and completing the activities, challenged students who were assessed at the end of the course. Congratulations to the following students for successfully passing the Basic Leaders assessments and graduating :
