Native Trees Planted

Thank you to all of those people who supported the school by attending the native planting day.

Despite the incoming wet weather, we had a solid turnout of keen planters who managed to plant 150 native plants in the area adjacent to the netball courts.

Special thanks to those students from the Sustainability Council and Enviro Club who helped to organise this event. It was especially great to have the free kai to finish the day!

Much gratitude to the following for donating native plants for this planting:

  • TÅ«puna Maunga Authority - who generously donated over 100 native plants reflective of the type of natives that used to grow on this site many years ago before it was cleared - thanks so much Tiago!
  • Margaret Davidson - former staff member - who kindly donated 13 Titoki plants which she had carefully nurtured from seed to give to our school

Also special thanks to Shiv for coming out to the school and running an engaging workshop with the students prior to the planting event!

A superb effort everyone!
