Eight of our Y10 student had the privilege of going to KATTI on Wednesday which was held at the Te Ara o Wananga in Mangere. The programme is designed to inspire and encourage our Maori students to seek opportunities at school and beyond.
Marama Elliott-Keepa – (singing the song in the video below) Mose Bourne,Tiana Poutai, Huia Samuels, Shania Russell, Shanley Tuwhangai, Manaaki Stevens and Ihaia Waaka Morrison enjoyed the experience and were grateful for the opportunity to represent OHS and take part in such an inspiring day.
It was a great chance for whanaungatanga, building networks and a fun day all round for our tamariki.
Most importantly our young people felt very proud to represent our kura, their peers, and being Maori as a whole.
