On Thursday 3 November, we encourage Year 13 students to attend Year 13 Leavers’ Day. The day will start with the Year 13 cohort in the hall for period 1 for hall activities then from period 2 they will be based on the field for sports and leisure games, ending with a BBQ lunch on the field. Year 13 students are encouraged to wear clothes other than school uniform on this day. Please note that this is a normal school day for all Year 9-12 students.

Friday 4 November is our senior awards day. We ask all Year 12 and 13 students, and Year 11 award winners, to attend school as usual in the morning. The day culminates in our annual Senior Awards Ceremony which begins promptly at 11:00am, with all guests seated by 10:45am in the gym for this important, formal, celebration of student achievement. There is no school on this day for Year 11 students who are not receiving awards at the ceremony, or for Year 9 and 10 students.

External examinations for NCEA begin on Monday 7 November. We wish all students excellent preparation and success.

Senior Study Leave / External Exam Preparation
Senior students who qualify for study leave are able to apply for this through their classroom pages. Deans will confirm with students if they have met the criteria and emails will be sent to whānau to confirm that their child has qualified for study leave. Students who have not qualified for study leave will have classes as normal until Friday 11 November, unless they have an exam on that day. These classes will support students to prepare for their external exams. Students who have qualified for study leave are welcome to attend these classes also.

Information about Year 10 Active Lifestyles Week 28 November - 2 December will be provided in the near future. Monday 5 December is our junior cultural and sports day, and Tuesday 6 December is the final day of school for all Year 9 and 10 students, with school from 9am - 12noon including our Junior Awards ceremony at 10:30am. Buses will not run at 12noon so we ask families to make alternative transport arrangements please.
