Junior Awards Ceremony

The last formal event of the year was the Junior Awards Ceremony, a celebration and recognition of those students who have had an outstanding year.

Students can achieve awards in Academic Excellence, Industry and Service to the School.

Principal, Deidre Shea offered her congratulations to all those students who had worked hard to achieve their personal goals this year, whether or not they were being honoured as award winners. Students were encouraged to spend some time in the holidays thinking about what they would like to achieve next year, which for the Year 10 students will be the first year of NCEA. The school had another excellent year last year, with students at each level achieving the best academic results ever.

Whanau, staff and students were entertained by some of our fabulously talented, senior music students  whose rendition of ‘Hareruia’ in particular was simply fantastic and held us spellbound.

This very well attended celebration ceremony was a fitting end to another successful year.We wish all students and their families a very happy and safe Christmas.
